Journey to manhood (mass circumcision)
Hundreds of Filipino young kids mostly on their pre-teens undergo the ritual of circumcision (through minor surgery) as they begin their traditional journey to adulthood during a ‘free mass circumcision’ at West Central Elementary School in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, north of Manila on May 28, 216. Locally known as “tuli”, is common to the Philippines where most men are circumcised before reaching their teenage years.
